Manuel Alonso is a Mexican composer, arranger, and music producer, specializing in flamenco guitar. He is the first Mexican to hold a degree in Flamenco Guitar from the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. He has worked as a performer, composer, and arranger with artists from Mexico, Spain, Andorra, and Germany. His discography includes Manuel Alonso Guitarra Iberoamericana (2009), Latin Stride Flamenco (2015), La Bien Pagá (2020), and Mexiterranea (2022).
As a composer and arranger, he has adapted works by Spanish composer Pablo de Sarasate for guitar and violin, published in 2021. In 2023, he performed with guitar legend Al Di Meola at the Andorra Jazz Festival. In 2024, he performed at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Tamer Faizy and Asma Lmnawar in front of 10,000 people, with a live stream reaching seven million viewers. He regularly performs at renowned international festivals and venues.
